Supernatural update and Apple Butter October 5, 2009

I know this is usually a Friday post, but it didn’t happen so I get to squee today instead.  Never a bad thing in my book.

There are spoilers below…if you haven’t watched don’t read it.  Or at least don’t yell at me when you do!

This week we got a glimpse of the future that might be if the paths that Sam and Dean are on don’t get changed.  Our friendly neighborhood Zacharias thinks he’s being enlightening and it will change Dean’s mind about being Michael’s vessel.  What happens I’m not going to get into, but it’s brilliant.

One of the things I love about this season is the constant emphasis on human choice.  All of these great powers and they have to work within the framework of human choice.  Lucifer cannot take Sam without consent.  Michael cannot take Dean.  Neither of them can act without a vessel.  So everything comes down to human choice, and we’re seeing a very broken family learn to heal.

And crying Dean…  *melts*  I love Sammy, but I’m a Dean girl.

Though Cas may be my second true love.  He was smashing!

In other news I made apple butter this weekend.  It’s very yummy.  Now I have to think of things to make to put it on!

Writing wise I’m recommitting…or need to be committed, or something.  An hour a night with no distractions.  I’m also pondering Nano just as another way to force some self accountability.  We’ll see how that goes.  This week it’s all Misery rewrites all the time, until they are DONE!
