"Misery Loves Company"
Essence wielding thief, Misery, accepted a simple enough job; steal some files from a corporate high rise. But simple rarely stays that and she finds the Chimera Lord of Denver East (commonly called Gargoyle), waiting for her in the office. She passed her initiation test and now he wants her to retrieve a powerful artifact out from under the nose of a rival Chimera, for a very generous fee. Unfortunately the Chimera aren’t the only ones interested in this artifact, and Misery’s skills are in demand; or her death.
